have been too busy to update. busy with tutorials, especially this week cos i've set to finish this week's lecture's tutorials by thursday night? what's with me being so K.S? i can't help it cos i'll be away from friday morning till sunday afternoon. i'll be heading to Malaysia for some scuba diving (i hope). it's just a short trip to let loose. and yes, my mum insisted since we haven't gone out of the country for quite some time. i don't even remember the last time i stepped out of Singapore. lols.
so erms. oh yeah, i turned 18 like last week? celebrated with the usual gang on thursday itself in town, and on friday with sarah and fx at bugis. by the weekend, i was pooped. to me, presents are just a bonus on birthdays; it's the greetings that matter to me. you know like people actually remember that special day of your life, reminding yourself you're not alone in this life. especially friends whom i haven't seen in ages, it's good to know they still remember you. lols.
school wise. it has been better than what i'd foreseen before the semester started. 7 subjects, as i've said, ain't a joke. consistency's the key i guess. you only have one shot at this semester, so just make the best out of it =)
making new friends in the new class wasn't really a chore to me. at least going to class won't be a drag despite the workload. lols.
General Election 06' just ended. stayed up the whole night on Saturday to watch the results as they came in. PAP votes are statistically dropping compared to the previous election, especially for votes in Aljunied GRC. if i'm not wrong, PAP won by a 13% margin. it's not that big of a gap to cover. by the time i hit my 30's, i wonder if PAP will still be in power. we've had PAP in power since Singapore became independent. yes, PAP has made Singapore into what it is, but have the opposition been given opportunities. at least we still have the Sectr-Gen of WP and Mr.Chiam See Tong in Parliment. but the latter should be enjoying his retirement. somehow i feel that the opposition should play a more active role in Singapore's politics with or without an election running. and the government shouldn't be only offering 1 NCMP seat. geez. the constitution states that Parliment can have up to 6 NCMP members. i hope i don't get sued. ah.
oh my, legal aspects of business has gotten over me. haha. politics can be fun =X
i'm supposed to pack for my trip by tonight, cos i think i won't be home early later tonight.
